This is the EP that gave my current project its name, from my old band, Tipical. Basically a rock project of Jon and I, with our friend Adam, Tipical was a fun time: energetic shows and loud rock music. Here's the original blurb, edited slightly:

"Tipical [was] based in Portland, OR, and [was] a [three]-piece indie pop/rock band with roots in both the Brit-pop of Blur and Radiohead and the vast independent music scene of the USA (bands like Sonic Youth, Built to Spill, and Modest Mouse). The songs emphasize tight, full arrangements and philosophical, stream-of-consciousness lyrics (as well as perfectionist self-production). Their debut EP, You're An Impulse, plays like a variety showcase, 5 disparate songs tied together by their energetic vocals and expansive production."
